The Miracle Dance Academy focuses on the technical aspects of classical ballet. The program was established to discipline, focus, and direct young minds using dance as the method. Our objective is to use movement to expose our students to the rich culture, heritage, and traditions of the world and its vast array of interconnected activities improving their quality of life in countless ways. We have designed our product to cater to three levels of dance that have a sequential advancement in techniques learned, styles applied and technical skills acquired.
Pre-Primary: students ages 3-4 learn the fundamentals of dance while developing the habits necessary to gain the flexibility, strength, and coordination needed to succeed. Additionally, they will be taught how to move in “general” and “personal” spaces. Finally, self-expansion and creativity are developed to produce the mind necessary to create brilliant and beautifully choreographed works of art in this genre.
Students will participate in two 45-minute lessons. The first is based upon the physical requirements to master the tasks. The second is to provide a visual appreciation of ballet by talking about what they like, dislike and desire.
Primary: students ages 5-6 are admitted to this level with satisfactory mastery of 7-10 of the skills taught in the Pre-Primary level. Students of this age without the requisite skill set will be required the skills to succeed in combining ballet movements and dance techniques.
Beginner: students ages 7-9 after having completed the Primary level with the requisite skills students being to learn the fundamentals of Modern Ballet and the technical skills needed to become the Primary Dancer at a major Company.
Our curriculum is adapted from the Royal Academy of Dance a well renowned international educational agency founded to deliver technical, information to the students of modern ballet.
